Nadi astrology or Nadi jothidam is an ancient Tamil tradition in which readings are taken from palm leaf manuscripts rather than from a birth chart. The leaves are traditionally attributed to Sage Agasthiya, and the tradition is most closely associated with Vaitheeswaran Koil in Tamil Nadu.
Unlike other forms of Vedic astrology, no date, time or place of birth is needed. Your thumbprint is used to narrow down the bundles of leaves, and the leaf identified as yours is then read aloud and explained to you, chapter by chapter.

Guruji Marimuthu Thanavel, Nadi astrologer
A palm leaf reader with over 30 years of experience, and the fifth generation of his family to practise Nadi reading.
Guruji belongs to the Valluvar Kulam, followers of the Tamil saint and poet Thiruvalluvar. From childhood he studied Nadi Shastra in the Gurukul tradition, learning to read the leaves attributed to Sage Agasthiya in the method passed down through his family.
